Grimma, and Kozys
Thu, 19/01/2012 - 20:41 | by kangarinosNormally this is the kind of thing I would put as a facebook status but since I already know it's going to contain quite a lot of waffling I thought a blog post would be more appropriate!
The language of babywearing
Tue, 15/11/2011 - 14:07 | by kangarinosIt occurred to me the other day (as a lady stood and stared blankly at me) that there is a whole seperate language (nearly) of babywearing, not just all the obvious stuff (wrap, mei tai, buckle carrier) or the less obvious stuff (brand names like Kozy, Wrapsody etc) or the even less obvious stuff (FWCC - Front Wrap Cross Carry, a type front carry with a wrap, or RRRR - Reinforced Rear Rebozo Ruck, er, some kind of back carry with a short wrap that I have no idea how to do *beam*) but beyond that...
For example:
A break from the norm
Tue, 01/11/2011 - 16:01 | by kangarinosCelia has just turned three, and although whoever invented the phrase 'threenager' was thinking of her when they said it she can be ridiculously cute, and yesterday she did some cute things! I've entitled this a break from the norm because usually I waffle about slings today it's only vaguely sling related! (I'm not implying that Celia being cute is a break from the norm, although some days it does feel like it!)
Pre-school Rose And Rebellion
Fri, 19/08/2011 - 21:21 | by kangarinosThe lovely Louise at Rose And Rebellion has sent Kangarinos a pre-school carrier to play with and we love it!
It arrived at the Birth 2 Potty shop on Wednesday and typically Celia wasn't up for having a ride in it (despite ever increasingly desperate attempts at bribery!), othesr had a play and it was met with much praise, it carried a small 2.5yr old and a big heavy nearly 5 year old easily (not at the same time I hasten to add!)
Knock offs!
Tue, 02/08/2011 - 22:29 | by kangarinosI've just been reading about people buying knock off carriers. It really does worry me a lot when people buy a fake carrier, with known brands from authorised retailers they are made safely and come with guarantees from people who are properly insured. Please buy from reputable vendors, I'm happy to recommend other retailers for things I don't stock!
An actual blog entry and not just rambling!
Thu, 24/03/2011 - 10:53 | by kangarinosI know, hold on to your hats folks, I am going to post a blog entry, so I'll talk about something that went on yesterday and it's related to my website and might even be of interest to you! That's not what you've come to expect from the Kangarinos blog is it!
Stock take plus Rose And Rebellion discount!
Tue, 22/03/2011 - 11:39 | by kangarinosToday I have to do a (very speedy) stock take, woo hoo. *tries to look enthusiastic*
So in the spirit of making this lovely sunny day a little less gloomy (and make a little less counting for me!) let's have a discount code! Put in the code ROSE in at the checkout to get 10% off any Rose And Rebellion carrier! You can only use it once, it'll only work on Rose And Rebellions and it expires on April 6th so be fast!
Any excuse to show my favourite picture really, Rose And Rebellion: The Rebel, I love love love this picture!
A happy customer
Sun, 20/02/2011 - 15:51 | by kangarinosThis should have been posted quite some time ago but my darling daughter decided to get a nasty virus and then share it with me so I haven't really been on top form brain wise!
Anyway, there's nothing I like better than a happy customer, well maybe a happy customer who brings me a newborn to play with, or a customer who sends me a ridiculously cute of picture of their child demonstrating their purchase! To illustratee the latter may I introduce Lorea:
Christmas and t shirts!
Tue, 25/01/2011 - 17:30 | by kangarinosCrikey what a Christmas, the wooden slip on toys made cracking presents for littleys so we had quite a rush on!
Our first printed advert is going out which is very exciting! It'll be in a magazine at the Baby Show in Excel London so fingers crossed it'll bring some customers and some more people into the lovely snuggly world of babywearing *crosses everything*
Alternative uses for a sling: part 1!
Mon, 06/12/2010 - 15:32 | by kangarinosThis could be a looooong series, I have a lot of ideas and pictures of a goodly number of my ideas! At least it should keep me blogging, I can't pretend I can't think of anything!
The first entry is deftly nicked from a friend (who also bought her sling from me!)
Atlernative use number one: A blanket!
It can be chilly crab fishing at the harbour, but when you have a Storchenwiege Inka (or any other brand/pattern of wrap!) you can whip up a handy blanket for a cold youngling!
